A truly classic British dessert created in the picturesque town of Bakewell in the north of England in the 1820s. We'll make the sweet tart pastry base, spread it with raspberry jam and layer on top a rich almond batter that will bake to a moist frangipane-like filling. The decoration is flaked almonds. This lesson is for up to 6 people and you'll take home the 18cm tart you make in class.
