ビアトリクスポッターのストーリー「The Tale of Samuel Whiskers」にも出てきました、とても懐かしい味のプディング。昔は蒸しパンのように、スチームのお菓子で下が、今のイギリス人は外がサクサク&中がしっとりのほうの焼く版が好き。伝統的なレシピでモンクレで処理したフレッシュスエットも使用!なかなか日本では珍しい、昔のイギリスのお菓子ですね。自分で作った約18cmx7cmのローリーポーリはホールで持ち帰る。 このレッスンは6名までです。

A comforting, old fashioned dessert, jam roly poly though less common in the UK than in previous years, is a classic nursery pudding. In the past these puddings were steamed or boiled, but these days Brits tend to prefer the crisp outer shell and soft and sticky inside of the baked version. In class we will use the traditional suet crust pastry for the pudding, using Mon Cre's freshly rendered suet! (We also offer a class on how to do this yourself). Known in Japan mainly thanks to Beatrix Potter's The Tale of Samuel Whiskers, it's very rare to actually come across one here! You'll take home the approximately 18cm x 7cm jam roly poly that you make in class. Have it with custard! This lesson is for up to 6 people.
